Data Recovery From Failed RAID Arrays and Servers

Server and RAID data recovery differs from mainstream data recovery in many key ways.

Firstly most RAID arrays have complications that simply do not exist in the world of single hard disk recoveries.  Data is split into chunks and distributed across a number of physical devices – this process can often be difficult to reverse engineer.

When choosing a data recovery service for your failed server or failed RAID array it is important that you choose a company that understands your system down to the byte level, here at Expidata we have full and in-depth knowledge of:

Our support includes the following RAID controller technologies:

  • Adaptec
  • Apple Disk Utility (and command line) configured RAID arrays
  • LSI including LSI MegaRAID controllers
  • HP (Hewlett Packard) and Compaq raid controllers
  • Linux LVM (Logical Volume Manager software based RAID configuration
  • Dell PERC controllers
  • Sun Solaris configured RAID arrays (including hardware RAID and implementations in software with ZFS)
  • Promise RAID

Support has also recently been added for RAIDTec, Storage Dimensions, Pinnacle, Mylex and Bus Logic Controllers.

Whats more our data recovery engineers and server recovery experts can recover lost data from the following systems:

Microsoft Windows – Including all versions of Windows NT, Windows Server 2000, Windows Server 2003 and the recently added Windows Server 2008 with full support for the NTFS 5 file system.

Macintosh OS ( Mac OS) – Mac OS X support for software and hardware RAIDs running on X-Serve, X-serve RAID or other hardware with the HFS+, ZFS, UFS or the Xsan file systems.

Linux – Including support for LVM volumes and all standard architecture hardware controllers and file systems, includes EXT2, EXT3, XFS, Rieser FS, UFS, HFS (HFS+), NTFS and more

Unix – Including all major hardware and software providers from Sun’s Solaris operating system through to other POSIX standard Unixs such as BSD, Xenix and HP-UX.

Of course this does not mean that Expidata cannot aid you in recovery of other failed media.  For more information or to discuss your data loss problem with one of our on hand engineers contact us.
